McAfee channel partners, in the mid-market space, are the focus of a global roadshow dedicated to identifying new business opportunities, product and solutions training, and a two-way dialogue focused on how we can succeed together in FY10.
Here is my video update on the key areas discussed with partners in New York and Toronto.
In the video, I referenced partner interest in additional resources for selling McAfee services. To continue that topic, I’ll provide a video conversation with myself and Rob Louks, SVP of Worldwide Services at McAfee. If you have any comments, or questions you’d like us to cover, please connect with me in the comment section below or on Twitter.
Thank you for partnering with McAfee!

Welcome to the McAfee Channel blog. I’m Alex Thurber, SVP of worldwide channel operations at McAfee. In early October, the senior management at McAfee spoke our channel partners at FOCUS 09 and committed to making 2010 “The Year of the Channel.” Our vision is to develop a world-class channel program to deliver a value-based, enabled, productive and profitable channel to support our mutual global customer base worldwide.
A key factor to success in 2010 is an open, two-way dialogue with McAfee and channel partners. I will use this blog to discuss the commitments outlined at FOCUS that support our vision of a value-based channel program, with an ongoing emphasis on ease of doing business and ensuring that partners are rewarded for the investments they make in their relationship with McAfee.
The first commitment to be implemented is the McAfee Deal Protection Policy in North America. I’ve highlighted the policy in the video below, while visiting partners in London. North American partners can find more information on this in the McAfee Partner Portal.
This blog will be updated on a weekly basis to provide frequent communications, as we partner towards success in 2010. I encourage you to subscribe and take advantage of the comment section below, to share your thoughts and questions. Additionally, you can also follow and engage me on Twitter, where I will keep you updated on my efforts towards making 2010 the Year of the Channel.
