McAfee Offers Partner Incentives with Riverbed

The Riverbed and McAfee partnership that was announced earlier this year makes it simpler for organizations to increase efficiencies and reduce the operational costs of branch office security through the hosting of McAfee Firewall Enterprise onto the Riverbed Steelhead platforms.  This integrated solution eliminates the need for a separate branch office firewall as customers are provided with a single-box WAN Optimization solution with an industry leading multilayer firewall solution.  In addition, this provides customers with a variety of WAN deployment options including the use of less expensive internet connections while maintaining a strong security posture.

McAfee Firewall Enterprise for Riverbed is integrated into the Riverbed Steelhead appliance by way of the Riverbed Services Platform (RSP), a virtualized environment that runs on the appliance.

This provides an opportunity   for McAfee partners who sell Riverbed and partners addressing customers who have already installed the Riverbed Steelhead appliance inside their organization.  These partners should discuss the solution with their customers and ask if they’re in need of services such as security at the edge.

McAfee is offering a few incentives to encourage partners to look into this opportunity. McAfee Firewall Enterprise for Riverbed will be incorporated into the McAfee SecurityAlliance Deal Registration Program, which offers up to an additional 15% margin advantage to partners when they invest time and resources in McAfee opportunities. This program is for new deal registrations only and goes hand in hand with the deal protection policy, which protects partners by providing only the registering partner with access to special pricing. The 10-15% applies on all McAfee’s network security and firewall platforms.

Additionally, Elite and Premier partners in North America are eligible for rebates, on top of the 10-15% margin advantage , for all new sales of the McAfee integrated Riverbed Services Platform.

For added incentives to both the partner sales reps and partner sales engineers, McAfee Rewards   incentives are also tied to sales in all regions, with the exception of LTAM, who will offer McAfee Rewards beginning in Q3.  Check the posted points tables to determine eligible incentives.  Visit www.McAfeeRewards.com for details

And if all this isn’t enough, McAfee is offering the limited-time Cash for Clunkers offer, providing partners with competitive displacement opportunities for these products with up to 60% off as well as huge extra incentives for the partner sales reps and sales engineers.  Offers only available to McAfee Elite partners.  Visit www.McAfeeCashforClunkers.com for details.

Please download the latest Deal Registration Program  details for your regional portal for more information. Partners may also contact their account manager or reach us at  SecurityAlliance@McAfee.com.
